Many of my wonderful readers know I have been working as a make-up artist for over seven years. From freelancing (with my dad of course), to working for MAC cosmetics and Benefit Cosmetics. Recently I was able to get my hands on a new cosmetics line, BA Star. They sent me one of their popular lip gloss' to try out on a photo shoot I was doing for my sister.
Before I talk about the lip gloss at the shoot, I wanted to tell you more about this fascinating and very proffessional new make-up line. BA Star is truly dedicated to their customers and they're creating a line full of sparkle and glitter for dancers, performers and cheerleading teams. They even offer custom face charts for your team or group. They will even sell products in bulk or kits for your studio and teams performing needs.
Whether you're a Top Ranked Competitor or just Starting Out! Remember, even the Best were "Beginners" so, be Creative. Try Something New! Never be Afraid! - BA Star
As, a make-up artist and not a performer myself, I wanted to see what their products could do for me and my kit. Their lip gloss arrived in a tube with a zebra print top that is to die for. Of course for me it also made it a lot easier to find among all my solid black cosmetics in my make-up case. For my shoot I used their Zebra Lip Gloss Duo in "Clear". I loved that the clear gloss was sparkly enough to wear alone or mixed with another gloss for a high shine impact. If glitter is your favorite color then you need to get your hands on these glosses.
My first model wearing the BA-Star lip gloss was inspired by a peacock. I colored her lips with different shades of blues and greens and added the clear gloss on top for a high impact shine and sparkle! I also took a blending brush and dipped it into the lip gloss before blending out her eyes. It was a really cool effect to get her eyes to pop out from the mask.
Our second model was "White Diamond". Her make-up was done by my dad and we used BA Star Lip Gloss over her brows and eyelids and over a few swirls to capture the light.
Our last BA Star model also done by my dad was a butterfly with purple ombre' lips that had a coat of BA Star gloss on her lips.
Thank You to BA Star Make-up for adding some glitter to our fun photo shoot!
