I have been getting back into wearing jeans as the seasons are changing, especially with the boyfriend fit jeans. I like tucking my blouses and sweaters into them for a very comfortable and chic look. I recently went to buy a pair of boyfriend jeans (from Old Navy) and I wanted them distressed to add to their worn-in aesthetic, however they didn't have my size in stock at the time in the distressed wash, only the dark wash. (Granted a dark wash is usually more flattering!)
I decided to distress my own jeans. On my search for an easy and not cheesy DIY I stumbled upon an amazing video blog from Free People. They had their senior designer from "washed wovens" to create a easy guide to distressing jeans. So easy you could distress your whole wardrobe!
When it comes to denim, nothing beats that perfectly broken in, rugged and ripped pair of jeans that look like they’ve been lived in. But sometimes it’s hard to get them just right – especially if you’re trying to do it yourself. I know I’ve ruined a couple of pairs of jeans trying to cut holes in them that don’t look fake. We asked our senior designer for washed wovens (which includes denim) to show us how to get that perfectly distressed look!
